Perbedaan Penelitian Tindakan dan Non-Tindakan
Abstract
Research is a fundamental endeavor aimed at the pursuit and discovery of truth. Researchers commonly employ several research methods, including action research and non-action research, which exhibit distinct dissimilarities. The objective of this study is to examine the distinctions between action research and non-action research. This investigation has significant importance as it seeks to establish a comparative analysis between these two research methodologies. The present study employed a methodological approach that involved conducting a comprehensive review of relevant literature. The process of data collection involved a thorough examination and exploration of many scholarly journals and books. This study yielded findings that highlight the distinctions between action research and non-action research. Specifically, action research is driven by real-world problems, whereas non-action research stems from a sense of curiosity. The underlying motivation for action research is to effect improvements, whereas non-action research is primarily motivated by the pursuit of truth. Furthermore, the purpose of action research is to enhance performance, whereas non-action research focuses on theory development or discovery. In terms of researcher involvement, action research entails direct engagement, whereas non-action research is more remote in nature. Methodologically, action research tends to have a more flexible approach, while non-action research adheres to standardized protocols. Lastly, the outcomes of action research manifest as quality learning, whereas non-action research culminates in scientific conclusions.
