Abstract

The present study was conducted with the objective of examining the effect of Classroom Action Research (CAR) in enhancing the consciousness of instructors of Islamic Religious Education. The research methodology employed in this study is a qualitative approach utilizing library research. The implementation of Classroom Action Research is deemed vital for teachers, with the expectation that it will facilitate a progression of learning experiences. Through the implementation of Classroom Action Research, educators endeavor to enhance the learning process by utilizing the findings derived from the ongoing and methodical execution of the research. The focus of attention for the implementation of Classroom Action Research is directed towards Islamic Religious Education teachers who are responsible for cultivating the religious character of students. Given the heightened cognizance of the scholarly disposition of an Islamic Religious Education instructor, it becomes feasible for them to effectively identify and ascertain the appropriate pedagogical approach for students, taking into account Islamic principles. When aiming to engage in Classroom Action Research, an Islamic Religious Education instructor should take into consideration the subsequent aspects in order to foster research awareness: comprehending students' learning styles and challenges; acquiring proficiency in learning theories and pedagogical principles; formulating a curriculum that promotes student engagement in the learning process; strategizing pedagogical approaches; assessing personal performance as well as evaluating the learning procedures and outcomes; engaging in continuous self-improvement; and enhancing the quality of learning.
