Abstract

Classroom action research is carried out by educators to improve the quality of learning. Classroom action research is called classroom action research in education which has been developed by many school teachers, because the research subjects are students. Decree of the Minister of Education of the Republic of Indonesia No. 16 of 2007 concerning teacher qualifications and academic qualifications. The research approach used is a qualitative approach through a descriptive-analytic method which contains the objectives and benefits of action research in the world of education and the urgency of classroom action research. Action research is an alternative for educators, education staff, and students to improve, improve, and develop educational services in the process of teaching and learning activities. Kurt Lewin (1946) confirmed the steps of classroom action research include: planning (planning), action (action), observing, (observation) and reflection (reflection). Research aims to solve problems without disturbing the time and educators. Classroom action research includes correlational theory and practice to solve problems that occur during the learning process, so as to improve teacher performance and competence and have the freedom to repeatedly innovate about problems in the classroom.
