Membangun Lingkungan Sekolah yang Kondusif Melalui Penelitian Tindakan Kelas
Abstract
This study aims to know the teachers’ strategy conducive to building physical and psychosocial classrooms learning environment at Junior High School in Ponorogo. The research involved a qualitative phenomenological design that employed a purposeful sample of teachers at Junior High School Classrooms in Ponorogo. Data were collected via in-depth interviews, participant observations and documentations. In analyzing the data, the writer evaluated the interview transcripts and the observation field notes which were organized into relevant themes. The results showed that the strategies to facilitate learning, both physically and psychosocially are as follows: 1) comfortable and good arrangement of classroom furniture, 2) good seating arrangement to promote student-centered learning, 3) the use of appropriate learning strategy and media, as well as teachers’ supports through student-teacher interactions, and (4) the building of students’ free interaction as a strategy in promoting an environment conducive to learning.
