Pengaruh Metode Pembelaharan Game Based Learning terhadap Motivasi dan Minat Belajar Siswa pada Mata Pelajaran Aswaja di SMP Plus Ma'arif Al Mushlihuun

Abstract

The present study is classified as Classroom Action Research, which seeks to investigate the implementation of the games-based learning approach and its potential to enhance motivation and interest in learning among ninth-grade students at SMP Plus Ma'arif Al Muslihuun. This study centers on the utilization of game-based learning approaches as a means to enhance students' motivation and engagement in the learning process. This study focused on a sample of 28 ninth-grade students from SMP Plus Ma'arif Al Muslihuunr during the academic year 2023/2024. The data collection methods employed in this study encompass surveys and direct observations. The findings of the study indicated that during the initial cycle, the teaching activities of the teacher were classified as satisfactory, while in the subsequent cycle, they exhibited a notable improvement, reaching the category of excellent performance. Consistent with this observation, the level of interest in learning among class 9 pupils exhibited an upward trend. Specifically, during cycle I, their interest was classified as good, however in cycle II, it escalated to rather good. Based on the findings, it can be inferred that the implementation of the games-based learning approach has effectively enhanced students' engagement in the learning process.
